Subject: 21222/Agmt/HamCo/FirstResponderProgram Date: Fri, 25 Oct 1996 08:25:12 -0500 RESOLUTION NO. 21222 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT AND STATEMENT OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA AND HAMILTON COUNTY TO PROVIDE PARAMEDIC LEVEL FIRST RESPONDERS. WHEREAS, T.C.A. A768-39-504, et seq. requires an agreement between the emergency medical services provider and the municipality receiving services; and WHEREAS, the City of Chattanooga has agreed to provide qualified personnel to implement its Emergency Medical Response Program; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of our citizens that Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga organize and coordinate the effective provision of emergency medical and rescue services which may occur within the corporate boundaries of the City of Chattanooga; and WHEREAS, Hamilton County has by resolution expressed its desire to enter into and has authorized the execution of said agreement and policies and procedures; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into and execute an Agreement and 0C Statement of Policies and Procedures to provide emergency medical and rescue services to the City of Chattanooga upon the terms and conditions contained therein.
